guarantee
IMPORTANT - Do not confuse maintenance and warranty. Maintenance and adjustments are not covered by the warranty. Keep your invoice or purchase receipt with the date of purchase (the only document confirming the warranty).
1. Duration of the guarantee
The bike (frame and fork) comes with a 5-year warranty.
There is a 2-year warranty on the motor, battery, controller and display.
The guarantee is valid from the date of purchase by the customer. For any warranty claim, the user must present the invoice with the date of purchase.
The buyer cannot demand withdrawal from the purchase, replacement with a new bicycle or a price reduction if the seller is able to remedy the defect identified.
Repairing a part does not extend the warranty period.
Your bike is not designed for use in sand, in water (motor, battery, controller and display), in a salty environment (e.g. on the beach or by the sea).
Your bike is not designed to be stored outdoors for long periods of time (maximum 12 hours). It must be stored in a dry and temperate room (frost-free), away from corrosive products: marine environment (e.g. boat deck), weed killers, acids, solvents.
With an i:SY e-bike or EOVOLT folding e-bike you are purchasing a high-quality product. When you purchase your i:SY e-bike or an EOVOLT folding e-bike, you are purchasing a manufacturer's guarantee as follows:
1.1 Warranty (valid from date of purchase:
- 5 years on frame breakage
- 2 years on components and electronics
- 2 years on battery (remaining capacity of at least 60% after 2 years or 500 full charging cycles, whichever comes first; when operating and charging the battery as per the operating instructions)
2. You can make warranty claims to us immediately after a defect occurs by presenting the purchase receipt or other meaningful proof of purchase. We are your contact for both stationary and online purchases - your TWENTY iNCH FACTORY.
3. Before providing a guarantee, we will check whether a guarantee case exists. This takes a maximum of 20 working days. For this purpose, you are obliged to make your e-bike available to us.
4. The guarantee will be fulfilled at our discretion either by repairing the defective part or by delivering a new one. Replaced parts become our property.
5. Our guarantee is void if you have not complied with the maintenance intervals specified by us in the operating instructions or if the maintenance has been carried out improperly, whereby we assume that maintenance has been carried out by us or in general that it has been carried out properly. Guarantee services are also excluded in the following cases:
5.1 There is no entitlement to a guarantee in the case of only minor deviations from the guaranteed quality, which are irrelevant for the usability of our e-bikes, nor for damage due to normal wear and tear (e.g. scratches on the frame) or for wearing parts.
5.2 Warranty services are excluded if the defect arises from improper use of our i:SY e-Bike and/or EOVOLT folding e-Bike, for example from overloading or lack of or inadequate maintenance.
5.3 We do not accept any liability for damage caused by repairs, conversions, modifications or other interventions that were not carried out by us or an authorized dealer.
5.4 Damage caused by accidents or damage due to proven third-party influences (e.g. vandalism), fire or frost are not covered by the warranty.
6. A warranty service does not lead to an extension of the warranty period, nor does it start a new warranty period. The warranty period for replacement parts ends with the warranty period for the original i:SY e-bike and/or EOVOLT folding e-bike.
7. Claims arising from this contract do not affect the seller's warranty obligation. We hope you enjoy your i:SY e-bike and/or EOVOLT folding e-bike! If you have any questions about our warranty services, we will be happy to help you.
3. General Limitation of Warranty
The warranty is transferable upon resale. The above terms apply from the date of initial purchase of the bike by the first purchaser. A second purchaser must be able to provide proof of purchase from the original purchaser.
The guarantee is void if the use and maintenance instructions and any other instructions in the user manual have not been followed. The guarantee is therefore only valid for use under normal conditions of use (excluding rental or other professional use) and does not cover damage resulting from improper use (use by two people at the same time, overloading, jumps, etc.), non-compliance with the operating precautions or an accident.
The warranty does not cover damage to parts that show visible signs of impact and are due to a cause unrelated to the quality of the bicycle (accident, shock, fall, etc.).
The warranty does not cover damage caused by repairs or modifications made by the user or an unauthorized technician. Modifying any bicycle component (frame and/or part, including paint) can result in serious injury.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from inadequate maintenance.
The guarantee does not apply to wearing parts:
- Tires - Hydraulic and lubricating oils
- The brake pads and the rear light (batteries)
- Chains and timing belts - Handle covers
- Chain wheels, bottom bracket axles and derailleur pulleys
- The paintings
- Speed and brake cables
- Battery
- Bearings and plain bearings
The warranty does not apply to vehicles that have undergone a brake disassembly. The bicycle is considered unbraked if its motor delivers a power of more than 250 W and the electric assistance does not switch off after 25 km/h.
Risks associated with solving:
- Legal: see Article L317-1 (2019) of the Highway Code
- Premature wear of the chain
- Premature wear of the cassette
- Premature wear of the crankset and chainring
- Premature wear of the wheels
- Premature wear of the fork
- Ineffectiveness of the braking system
- Premature engine wear
- Premature Battery wear
Technically unavoidable fluctuations in the battery's consumption and performance as well as a loss of capacity associated with the use of the product do not constitute a material defect.
4. Restriction of Battery guarantee
The battery is not covered by the warranty if:
- The battery is discolored.
- The Battery casing is damaged.
- The battery is open.
- There are traces of opening the battery.
