1. Lighting Your e-bike is equipped with high-quality LED front lighting. It is switched on and off via the on-board computer. Your e-bike is equipped with rear lighting. The Morning and Afternoon models are switched on and off using the on/off switch on the lamp itself. The Evening model has a rear lighting connected to the on-board computer. It is therefore switched on via the on-board computer.
2. The bell There is a bell attached to your handlebars. With it you can be heard from 50m away.
3. Tires Your tires are puncture-proof and equipped with reflective strips that offer you greater safety in everyday life. The ideal pressure is always indicated on the sidewall of the tire. We recommend the following air pressure values:
EOVOLT Morning : Between 2.4 and 3.1 bar.
EOVOLT Afternoon : Between 2.8 and 4.5 bar.
EOVOLT Evening : Between 2.8 and 4.5 bar
4. Bicycle brake Your bike is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes with a diameter of 160 mm. The right brake lever operates the rear brake, while the left brake lever operates the front brake. It is recommended that you distribute your braking force on average 60/40 between the front and rear. You should be able to achieve maximum braking force without the brake levers touching the handles. If this is not the case, your brakes will need to be adjusted.
Hydraulic disc brakes use a control system that is connected to a closed brake fluid circuit. Caution: Dust or mud can impair the braking effect. If you want to replace the brake pads, you must replace them with organic brake pads of identical dimensions.
WARNING: In rainy weather, braking distances increase. The brake discs can be hot and sharp. We recommend that you avoid direct contact with them. DANGER – Hydraulic fluid
5. Speeds Gears allow you to adapt your effort to the road or to reach the speed you want. Small gears allow you to climb hills more easily while using less effort. High gears require more pressure on the pedals but allow you to increase speed by cycling at a lower cadence. Shifting is done using the shifter located on the right side of the handlebar. With your hand on the grip, use the paddle under your index finger to shift up and the paddle under your thumb to shift down.
6. Wheels and Motor When you turn on the motor, you will hear a slight noise. This noise is normal as the motor starts and assists in pedaling. It may become louder when it is under full strain. After the first month of use, you should tighten your spokes to limit the impact of the motor drive on your rear wheel. The noise level of the motor is below 70 dB, so you can hear everything that is happening around you. If this is not the case and the noise level of the motor is unusually loud, you should see a professional to have a diagnosis made.
7. Electric assistance The electric assistance is triggered by a torque sensor located on the crank. As soon as a torque is applied to the crank, the sensor sends the information to the controller, which sends a signal to the motor (in the rear wheel hub). The electric assistance of the motor has 5 levels.
Level 1 is the lowest level of support.
Level 0 is the mode without support.
Level 1: 20% engine power
Level 2: 40% engine power
Level 3: 60% engine power
Level 4: 80% engine power
Level 5: 100% engine power.
To connect the battery to the controller, you need to connect the connector at the end of the battery to the connector on the controller located under the bike. This connection allows you to use the bike's electric assistance.
8. Battery The lithium battery is the heart and engine of your Eovolt. For greater practicality and aesthetics, the battery, which is located in the seat post, is completely removable from the bike. Locking the battery Your bike is equipped with an anti-theft seat clamp. This allows you to secure your battery to reduce the risk of the seat post being stolen.
To lock your battery, simply press the button on the seat post. The button is depressed when the seat post is locked. To unlock, have your unique set of keys ready and turn it once. The button is raised when the seat post is unlocked. Charging the Battery The charging port is located under the saddle and is hidden with a cover to protect against dust and moisture . Configuration and best practices
1. The settings
1.1 Adjusting the bicycle saddle
Make sure the clamp is tight enough to support your weight. If it is not, use the wrench tool provided with the battery lock keys. To tighten the seat clamp spindle, follow these steps:
- Open the saddle clamp.
- Tighten the screw on the back of the seat clamp by swinging the wrench downwards.
- Close the seat clamp again To ensure safe riding, the seat post must be inserted between the minimum and maximum positions as indicated on the pin.
To adjust the seat post height to your body type, perform the following calculation: 1.09 x your step height. If the result is above the maximum position, make sure you stay in the maximum position.
The angle of the seat is adjusted using the nuts that attach the seat to the seat rail. Make sure the nuts are tight and the seat does not move forward or backward when sitting. Loosen the screw that is located under the seat between the light and the battery. Slide the saddle forward or backward as desired. Once you have positioned your saddle correctly, tighten the screw.
1.2 Adjusting the handlebars
Open the quick release to adjust the height of the stem. If the upper part of the stem is not connected tightly enough to the lower part, screw the round nut of the quick release clockwise. Be careful not to exceed the minimum insertion mark. The handlebar height depends on the height of the body and the use. The lower the handlebar, the sportier the position and the less comfortable it is and vice versa.
1.3 Adjusting the rear derailleur
The adjustment of your front derailleur was done at the factory and checked by your dealer. If it turns out that the rear derailleur is incorrectly adjusted, we recommend that you contact TWENTY iNCH FACTORY.
1.4 Adjusting the chain tension
Place the chain on the smallest sprocket. You can then tighten or loosen the plastic ring to change the tension of your derailleur .
Put your bike on the stand so that the wheel does not touch the ground, turn the crank while changing gears. If you notice a difficult transition between two sprockets, adjust the cable tension directly on the blocked gear.
1.5 Adjusting the upper and lower stops
The H screw is used to set your low stop. Make sure you are on the small pinion and screw it in or out to get your stop. The L screw is used to set your high stop. Make sure you are on the large pinion, screw it in or out to get your stop.
If you do not achieve satisfactory results despite these instructions , contact your dealer.
1.6 Adjusting the brake
Your braking system needs to be run in to work optimally. To do this, you must brake gently and progressively with both brakes ; your braking effect will gradually improve.
When using the brakes on a descent , you should brake in sudden bursts rather than braking for long periods, which will heat up the brake pads and subsequently result in inefficient braking .
If you hear a squeaking noise, it is because your brake pads are contaminated by a grease component or the break-in process was not effective. The brake pads need to be replaced. Brake discs are sharp and heat up after use. Be careful not to touch them after use. Be aware of the risk of pinching in the area of the brake disc and brake pads. Your braking system should be free of oil or grease . The friction of the brake pads creates dust that accumulates and can prevent good braking.
Do not hesitate to clean it with appropriate products.
Make sure your braking system works properly every time you use it.
If you notice that your brake disc is cracked or deformed, stop using your bike and go to your dealer. If you notice that your braking power is decreasing, check that your brake system is not leaking.
Adjustment and any intervention in the braking system must be carried out by a specialist (failure to do so will void the warranty). Have the brake pads replaced when the lining is less than 1 mm thick. The lining is the softer part of the brake block.
1.7 Installing the pedals
- Step 1: Apply some assembly grease to the threads of both pedals.
- Step 2: Screw the right pedal (marked «R» on the pedal, pedals without grooves) clockwise onto the crank on the inside of the bottom bracket plate.
- Step 3: Screw the left pedal (marked «L» on the pedal, pedals with grooves) counterclockwise onto the left crank.
- Step 4: The recommended tightening torque is 30 Nm.
1.8 Tightening torque
- Tightening the cranks: 40 Nm
- Wheels: 30 Nm
- Stem on the fork: 24 Nm
- Saddle mounting: 18 Nm
- Stem tilting mechanism: 14 Nm
- Brake calipers and caliper brackets: 14 Nm
- Bicycle stand: 14 Nm
2. Folding and unfolding
2.1 Morning and afternoon folds
- Step 1: The handlebar stem Lower the stem as far as possible by loosening the handlebar clamp in the middle of the stem tube. Unlock the stem's folding system by pushing the safety catch on the lever upwards and then carefully fold the stem.
- Step 2: The seat post Loosen the seat clamp. Slowly push the seat post to the ground. Tighten the seat clamp again. In this step we recommend disconnecting the battery from the controller.
- Step 3: Frame and pedals Fold the pedals by pressing them and then turning them around. Turn the frame folding lever lock upwards. Pull the frame folding lever and fold the bike in on itself.
- Step 4: Fold & Go: Pull the seat post up so that you can push the bike effortlessly, only in a forward direction.
2.2 Folding the Evening

- Step 2: The seat post Loosen the seat clamp. Slowly slide the seat post to the ground. Then tighten the seat clamp again. In this step, we recommend that you disconnect the battery from the controller.
- Step 3: The Pedals Fold the pedals by pushing them inward and then twist them around themselves.
2.3 Safety when folding
When unfolding the bike, it is important to ensure that all levers are locked with the safety device, as shown in the photo.
3. Before every trip
You're about to try out your Eovolt for the first time. Here are a few tips to make that first ride a safe one.
Choose a safe place away from traffic to familiarize yourself with your new bike. The assistance can be triggered with more force than you can imagine.
We strongly recommend that you equip yourself with protective equipment before getting on your bike. Wearing a helmet is highly recommended and is compulsory for children under 12 years of age. Wear an approved helmet (CE marked) that fits properly.
Riding on public roads requires compliance with the highway code. Please respect the highway code of the country in which you are using your bicycle. Lion Distribution SAS accepts no liability if the bicycle rider does not respect the regulations in force.
This bicycle is intended for use on urban roads. It is not intended for use on terrain in very poor condition. It is not intended for use in "off-road" areas. Failure to observe these warnings may result in a fall or accident and prematurely and irreversibly affect the condition of your Pedelec.
When the bicycle is used by a child, parents must supervise and ensure that the user is able to use the bicycle safely.
In unusual weather conditions (rain, cold, night ...) you should be particularly alert and adjust your speed and reactions accordingly.
If you transport your bike outside your car (bike rack, roof rack...), you should remove the battery and store it in a temperature-controlled place. For safety reasons, it is highly recommended that you start with pedal assistance level 0 or 1 when stationary and then gradually increase the pedal assistance. Finally, it is strongly advised not to push your e-bike and walk alongside it when the pedal assistance is on. Be sure to take into account the handlebar-dependent reaction time when braking and cornering.
4. Luggage rack
Before mounting, make sure that your luggage rack is compatible with your e-bike model . Before mounting, make sure that the product is in good condition. If in doubt, contact your dealer. Our luggage racks are designed exclusively for Eovolt bikes. Any modification or incorrect use can lead to serious or fatal injuries. The various screw connections should be checked regularly . For the Morning and Afternoon models, the maximum load is 25 kg. This weight is indicated on your luggage rack. Make sure you do not exceed the load weight. It is prohibited by law to mount a baby carrier on a luggage rack with a load capacity of less than 27 kg.
The maximum load on the Evening model is 27 kg. This weight is indicated on your luggage rack. Make sure that you do not exceed the load weight. As the maximum load is 27 kg, it is permitted to attach a suitable baby carrier to this luggage rack. On this model, the luggage rack is compatible with the MIK HD fastening system. If the luggage rack is loaded, the handling of your bike may change and lead to a longer braking distance. Therefore, adapt your riding style. Luggage can only be transported safely on the luggage rack .
Make sure the load is balanced and secure. Make sure your load does not impair visibility and the effectiveness of the reflectors and lights. Warning: Our luggage racks are not designed to tow a trailer. To avoid the risk of an accident, make sure that no straps, belts or tensioners are dangling from the bike. The luggage rack cannot be used with wheels and tires larger than those already fitted to the bike.
WARNING: If you are transporting a child in a child seat, make sure that the child does not have the possibility of trapping his or her fingers or feet in the wheels of the bicycle . There is a risk of serious injury! The child must wear a helmet and be properly secured according to the recommendations of the child seat brand . Do not let the child sit in the child seat when the bicycle is on the stand.
Precautions & Care
1. Precautions
Like any mechanical component, a bicycle is subject to high levels of stress and wear. Different materials and components can react differently to wear or fatigue.
If the intended service life of a component has been exceeded, it may suddenly break, which may cause injury to the user .
Cracks, scratches and discoloration in areas subject to high stress indicate that the component has exceeded its lifespan and should be replaced. If in doubt, you should consult a professional bicycle dealer who will be able to give you the best advice after diagnosing your bike .
1.1 Battery precautions
- Check that the battery is properly seated
- Make sure that the plug is attached to the e-bike.
- Make sure the charging cap is properly seated on the battery.
- Do not leave your battery unprotected in direct sunlight.
- Do not leave the battery in the sun for long periods of time.
- Handle your battery with care. If the battery is dropped, it may leak fluid or catch fire.
- Do not apply pressure to the charger cord or plug (risk of electric shock or fire). Make sure the charger is firmly plugged into the wall socket before charging.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands. - Keep out of reach of children and animals.
- Do not use the plug and socket if they are dusty. 1.2 Precautions regarding the charger
- There is high voltage inside the charger, do not attempt to open it.
- It is recommended to use the charger indoors.
- Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries with this charger.
- All information on the back of the charger must be observed.
- If you have any problems, contact the manufacturer or dealer
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, carefully follow these instructions:
- If the shape of the plug does not match the socket, use a plug adapter with the correct configuration for the socket.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced to avoid a hazard.
- Do not throw electrical devices into unsorted municipal waste, but use separate collection facilities.
- Contact your local authority for information about available collection systems.
- When electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills, dangerous substances can seep into the groundwater.
2. Maintenance
To ensure safety and keep the components in good condition, you should have your e-bike checked regularly by a bicycle specialist.
Attention, this does not exempt you from the daily checks that you must carry out before each use of your Eovolt. Always remove the battery before servicing the e-bike.
If you suspect an electronic defect, please contact a specialist. Adjustment and any intervention in the electrical system must be carried out by a specialist (otherwise the warranty will be void).
2.1 Daily inspection Before each use, you should check the following:
- The condition of the tires (pressure, wear, hernias and cracks).
- The functionality and cleanliness of the braking system and its wear.
- The clamp of your stem.
- The clamping of your saddle clamp
- The functionality and cleanliness of the lighting devices. The glasses should be clean, free of impact and cracks.
- The rim must be clean and undamaged. Look for discoloration, scratches or signs of wear. A worn or damaged rim can break without warning and lead to a serious fall.
- Blocking the frame lock.
- Tightening the wheels.
- The directional play. Block the front wheel and give jerky movements to the handlebars. If the handlebars move a lot, contact a professional to adjust the settings. (Caution, the steering is adjusted and not tightened)
- After each impact that occurs during use or transport, check the frame and fork for cracks. In the event of a serious impact, you should contact a professional who will carry out a comprehensive diagnosis of the bike.
2.2 Battery care
- With proper care, you can maximize its lifespan. Here are some tips to keep in mind when caring for your battery: Like all batteries, our batteries age. This means that over time, the battery life decreases and is no longer the same as a new battery.
- Remember to charge the battery regularly, even when you are not using it (at least once a month). This will avoid the phenomenon of deep discharge, where one or more cells that have not been charged for a long period of time stop working, causing you to lose range or the battery to stop working altogether.
- Always switch off the motor on the on-board computer when the bike is stationary - even for a short time - or when the battery is discharged while riding. This reduces the risk of the battery becoming deeply discharged.
- Store your battery in a dry and cool place that is not suitable for large temperature fluctuations. If stored for a long time without use, the ideal charge level of your battery should be 30% to limit the self-discharge of the battery. Never forget your battery on the e-bike when you are not using it, as the controller (the brain of the e-bike) always consumes some energy and thus discharges the battery.
- The more often you use your bike, the more regularly the battery needs to be charged and the longer its lifespan will be compared to an inactive battery. The battery must be clean and dry before charging. Unplug the battery and clean it with a dry cloth. To unplug the power cable from the wall socket, pull on the plug, not the cable. Always pull gently on the charging cable.
- Do not turn the pedals when the battery is charging and attached to the bike. The cable may become wrapped around the pedals or crank and damage the socket, creating a risk of electric shock or fire.
- Do not use sockets, plugs or other wiring devices with a power source other than the recommended rating (220 V).
- Do not use electrical parts if they are damaged. Replace them with genuine components. If your battery becomes unusually hot during charging, unplug the charger from the power outlet and then carefully move the entire charger and battery unit. When charging is complete, unplug the charger from the power outlet and disconnect the battery from the charger.
- Charge the battery in a dry indoor location at an ambient temperature of 0°C to 45°C.
- Do not charge the battery near any flammable materials. Only use the original charger supplied with the bike.
- Do not charge the battery immediately after using the bike. Do not allow metal objects to touch the battery contacts or connector. Avoid dirt and chemical substances or cleaning agents.
- Do not cover the charger.
- Do not charge in direct sunlight.
- The battery should always be charged in a ventilated place.
- To unplug, first unplug the power cord and then disconnect the battery.
- Do not use the battery if it emits an unusual odor or becomes unusually hot.
- Do not disassemble the charger or battery (this will void the warranty).
- Use your bike at a maximum temperature of 45 °C.
- Store your battery in a dry, ventilated place with a temperature between 0°C and 20°C. (Your battery will age prematurely if stored above 30°C). Prolonged storage at -10°C can significantly reduce the battery's performance.
- Under no circumstances should the battery be exposed to frost.
- Never fully discharge the battery as this may damage the battery. Please store your battery at 30% of its charge if storing for more than two weeks to maximize its lifespan.
- When the bike is parked - even for short breaks - or when the battery is empty while riding: always switch off the motor (on the control panel on the handlebars), otherwise the battery will be deeply discharged and irreparable damage may occur.
Disposal and recycling: Do not throw the battery or charger into the environment or into your household waste. Return them to your dealer or to a collection point specialised in recycling. This will help protect the environment.
2.3 Spare parts and accessories
- If you need to replace certain electrical parts , we recommend that you use original parts selected for their quality and compatibility and they should be replaced by newer parts by an aggregate technician.
- Check with an aggregate technician to make sure that the accessories to be installed are compatible.

Changing the backlight batteries:
- Press on the black casing and pull on the clear lamp cover to remove it. You will gain access to the 2 round cell batteries (model LR44 1.5V). To replace them, use a flathead screwdriver to lift a metal ear, then remove the old battery and slide in the new one.
2.4 Cleaning and lubrication
- Lubricate once a month and after each washing and drying. Never use a high-pressure cleaner, a water jet or cleaning products on electrical parts.
- Remove your battery before cleaning with water. Dry your bike thoroughly before reinserting the battery.
- Clean the entire bike with soapy water and a sponge or with water under low pressure. Clean the connectors with contact cleaner if necessary.
- Lubricate the entire drive unit, chain, rear derailleur, bottom bracket and wheel axle.
- If you ride in dirty terrain (dust/ mud), you should prefer a wax-based lubricant. If you ride in urban terrain (where you are often exposed to water), you should prefer an oil-based lubricant.
3. Guarantee
- IMPORTANT - Do not confuse care and warranty. Maintenance and adjustment revisions are not covered by the warranty .
- Keep the invoice or receipt with the date of purchase (only these documents are considered a guarantee).
3.1 Duration of the guarantee:
- Bicycle with 5-year warranty (frame, rigid fork, handlebars/stem only). Motor, battery, controller, display have a 2-year warranty .
- The warranty begins on the date of purchase by the customer. In order to make a warranty claim, the user must present the invoice with the date of purchase.
- The buyer has no right to withdraw from the purchase, replace it with a new bike or reduce the price if the seller is able to remedy the defect identified. Repairing a part does not extend the duration of the warranty.
