i:SY guarantee

With an i:SY you are purchasing a high-quality product made in Germany. Therefore, when purchasing an i:SY e-bike in the EU, you receive a manufacturer's guarantee as follows:

1.1 i:SY Plus Guarantee (valid from the date of the purchase receipt for all new i:SY from model year 2022, a complete bicycle that has been fully assembled by an i:SY specialist dealer or, in the case of online sales, pre-assembled for fine adjustment by the customer)

  • 5 years for frame breakage
  • 2 years on components and electronics
  • 2 years on battery (remaining capacity of at least 60% after 2 years or 500 full charging cycles, whichever is achieved first; when operating and charging the battery according to the operating instructions)

2. You can make warranty claims by presenting your purchase receipt or other meaningful proof of purchase to your i:SY specialist dealer immediately after a defect occurs. The specialist retailer where you bought your i:SY bike is always your contact, both for stationary and online purchases.

3. Before providing a warranty service, we will check the existence of a warranty case with the help of your i:SY specialist dealer. This takes a maximum of 20 working days. For this purpose, you are obliged to make the e-bike available to your i:SY specialist dealer.

4. The guarantee is provided at our discretion either by repairing the defective part or by delivering a new one. Replaced parts become our property.

5. Our guarantee is void if you have not adhered to the maintenance intervals stated by us in the operating instructions or if the maintenance has been carried out improperly, whereby we generally assume that maintenance is carried out by an authorized i:SY specialist dealer. Warranty services are also excluded in the following cases:

5.1 There is no entitlement to warranty service in the event of minor deviations from the guaranteed quality that are irrelevant to the usability of our i:SY e-bikes, nor for damage due to normal wear and tear (e.g. scratches on the frame) or for wear parts.

5.2 Guarantee services are excluded if the defect results from improper use of our i:SY, for example from overcharging or missing or inadequate maintenance.

5.3 We do not provide any guarantee for damage due to repairs, conversions, modifications or other interventions that were not carried out by an authorized i:SY specialist dealer.

5.4 Accident damage or damage due to proven third-party influence (e.g. vandalism), fire or frost are not covered by the guarantee.

6. A guarantee service does not lead to an extension of the guarantee period, nor does it initiate a new guarantee period. The warranty period for replacement parts ends with the warranty period for the original i:SY e-bike.
